Welcome!
I'm Dr. Kate Vaillancourt, licensed clinical psychologist and certified perinatal mental health specialist. My practice is located in the New Hampshire seacoast and my area of special interest is in supporting women's mental health across the lifespan. I am also honored to provide therapeutic support to women who are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, have suffered a pregnancy loss or difficult birth, or are experiencing a postpartum mood/anxiety disorder. I strive to deliver compassionate, non-judgmental, informed psychotherapy and believe that authenticity and collaboration are essential to the process.
I received my Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England in 2012 after completing a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Carson Center for Adults and Families in Westfield, MA, where I received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and recovery from substance use and addictions.

My clinical training experience has also included an externship with Harvard Medical School at the Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, inpatient crisis counseling and intervention at NH Hospital, and psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluation with children, adolescents, and adults at The Counseling Center of Nashua.

Now, every time I witness a strong person,

I want to know: What dark did you conquer in your story?

Mountains do not rise without earthquakes.
